I’m not a very graceful gamer, so making a video of me simply playing the level would be pretty shit, so instead I made something a bit more cinematic, a trailer for Hetzchase Nailway.
I had to render it kind of crappy quality, the resolution is alright, but its kinda dull, and kinda blurred, idk. Also my computer is pretty meh, so its not full quality graphics, and its sometimes at a bad framerate.
Also I think it gets a bit hectic, and that may be more so for other people, as I made it, so I know whats happening…
But yeah, feedback would be appretiated. =D
I don’t think this qualifies for the video contest, but whatever I think it turned out pretty cool. This is a video of the new Hetzchase_Nailway_M9Demo Portal Mod. Enjoy.

Minecraft is a java based game with a simple game mechanic which allows you to destroy and create different textured blocks. The blocks have no physics and the game itself has very little gameplay. But I found a server that was amazing, it was filled with detailed buildings, sprites, artworks, spaceships and other works, the amount of time taken to create all these things would be astounding.
So I decided to make my own, Super Mario Bros: World 1-1.
It’s a 1:1 replica of world 1-1, with a big Mario sprite at the start.
I still didnt think it was epic enough so I decided to put it the bonus warp pipe.
By jumping down that hole you will fall into the bonus stage, complete with coins(flowers) and an exit warp pipe you swim through.
I still felt like adding something else, but I think I went a bit overboard.
Oh, and I heard you like mudkips.
Now that there is a very bold statement. But it has it’s reasons.
So this is the story, all about how Zodttd turned upside down. And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how he became the ass of the Jailbroken iPhone… ZodTTD is a very talented and hardworking software developer, he is best known for porting emulators to the iPhone and iPod Touch. Enjoyed by many, his projects are very successful with thousands of Jailbroken iPhone and iPod touch users using his software. However there is a fee for his two most popular products, SNES4iPhone and GpSPhone, but it wasn’t always like that…
About a year ago he offered all his ports free of charge out of consideration for the community, but allowed for donations for those who appreciated his work. He showed his appreciation of donations, by offering all the betas of his software to donaters before he released them to the public. His work was very generous, and so personally I felt he deserved the donations, so I of course donated what I could, he only allowed a few “set donations” so I made the “Generous donation”.
However his offer of unreleased betas soon died out, and everyone got the software at the same time. This isn’t such a bad thing as donaters still get software as its ready, it simply isn’t delayed for the public. However a few months later ZodTTD made a controversial move, he put a price on GpSPhone. He didn’t hold his word for donaters to get all his software first and now donaters don’t get it at all, without giving out more money. This made him lose some followers and lowered his reputation. But due to the negative reaction, he promised it will be the only commercial emulator. Which lessened the impact to his followers.
But once again, a few months later he broke his word. Now snes4iPhone also has a price on it. For us donaters, we felt as if we were scammed. We believed that our donations were going to the cause of continuing his great work in offering free software for the community, but that wasn’t the case.
He also put snes4iPhone on the controversial and much disliked RockApp. Which many of the community have disliked.
Throughout all these events he did not announce his intentions before hand, the community only found out about the new prices when it suddenly cost money to download the software. snes4iPhone has had a price for over a week now, and he has yet to post an update about it on his blog. This spontaneous price addition catches a lot of people off guard and it seems he purposefully hides his intentions from the community, he doesn’t announce any of these additions and he also REMOVES large discussions on the topic from his forums, so much so, that he has now removed his forums to stop people from making such discussions.
This constant deception has earned ZodTTD a bad reputation, and from me the tagline: The ass of the Jailbroken iPhone.
Hmmm….
I hate my Wii…
I while ago I managed to brick my Wii, this means that I’ve made it pretty much useless. It was useless because I couldn’t get to the Wii menu, it would come up with an error message stating that some files were corrupt.
The files were some home screen programs I tried to edit. I wanted to replace the display pictures for the program, but I must’ve messed up somewhere. So when the wii booted up and tried to load all the graphics for the main screen, it couldn’t understand the files I edited and would instead display that error message.
Slightly worried I googled for a solution, I found the SaveMii.
It was a device which plugged into the gamecube memory card slot, and would make the console enter a special “boot mode”.
The “boot mode” can be used to boot game discs, and special boot discs. Certain boot discs can be created to boot programs such as “AnyTitle Deleter” which I could use to delete the corrupted files. I thought this could be my solution, so I looked around and found that SaveMii cost over 50bucks, this was unacceptable, but luckily I found an alternative; SaveMiiFrii.
Using just a gamecube controller you can access the same “boot mode” without forking out $50.
So it was off to ebay, I ordered and payed for one controller, but after 2 months of waiting and communicating, I never got it, and they stopped responding. But it was only a few dollars so it wasn’t that much of a loss.
So another month later I bought another one, I got it a few days ago and tried it out.
It worked, without even the need to open it up, it goes into boot mode, and Smash Bros Brawl started, I was relieved.
However I still had to try to get it to run AnyTitle Deleter. I created a boot disc out of a cd and put it in, no response. I got worried again.
I tried a few times, no luck. So it was back to google, frantically trying to find out the problem.
I eventually come to the conclusion that I am unable to boot to the disc, because I have neither a mod chip, nor the appropriate softmod. This is bad.
However as I have access to Wii games, I have a look at the possible Homebrew exploits. First up, the good old twilight hack, it sounds promising, I can boot Zelda. So I should be able to use the hack. It works by loading a modified save file which will then boot any dol file. But unfortunately I had deleted my previous hacked save on my wii, and I can’t put it back without the Wii menu… DAMN IT.
It was looking grim, what else is there?
Bannerbomb? Nope, that requires access to the Wii menu.
Indiana Pwns? Nope, I don’t have Lego Indy.
Smash Stack? Nop… Wait what?
Smash Stack is a recently found exploit which uses the stage builder in Super Smash Bros Brawl. It pretends to be a stage on your sd card and instead loads a program. Sounds perfect. A light of hope. So I follow the instructions: move all levels to the SD, rename it to prevent them from being loaded, place the hack files on the sd, place the software on the sd, insert the sd into the wii and open stage builder. loading. 0 stages on SD
It wasn’t working, I try again, I try a different program, I start all over again. No luck.
I then find out it only works for the USA version.
GODDAMNIT!!!
AGGGHHHH!!!!!
iControlPad has recently gotten a design change to be more spaced out for easier controls, and with the addition of two analog nubs for better controls in certain games. These are great additions, however the design change is not.
The new iControlPad attaches like a controller onto the bottom of the iphone, resembling something like the PSP-Go or the GBA-SP.
There is nothing wrong with that, and in fact the iJoyPad which was an old competitor to the iControlPad, was already using this design.
However, the iControlPad and the iJoyPad differ in the way that they connect.
The iControlPad appears to separate into three separate pieces, which would be a major annoyance having to remove and put together parts.
But the iJoyPad however, uses a cable as a connector, and what appears to be a slide out holding piece, which I believe is a superior design.
I’d rather have a cable and something that slides out, over three separate pieces, as it would keep things more organized, and less to carry around.
Note this is all speculation, I am not 100% sure if this is how they are actually connected. Stay Tuned.
Luckily it wasn’t destructive. You may be wondering how an iphone gets a virus, well that’s my fault, I jailbroke my phone and enabled SSH, but I didn’t change the password, it was the default; alpine. So anyone could change my iPhones files if they knew my ip and the default password. So someone wrote a program which connected to SSH placed files, including a copy of the program, which sends it to others randomly on the phone network. I noticed it when I was greeted by the photo below when I called someone, it replaced my wallpaper.
I have now changed my password
In other iPhone news, the iControlPad has gotten a redesign, one that I think is quite stupid.
the design worked but obviously needed to be altered for each type of iPhone and the controls were a bit cramped, plus it was quite large to carry.
That was their reasoning behind the design change.
I understand the cramped controls thing, as I can see that it has much more room, plus it has 2 analog nubs, which is an awesome addition. But the layout seems very bulky. I asked how you could possibly carry that thing around, the following is the response I got:
The side parts unclip and it’s left as just the size of the ipad when not on the phone.
So anytime I want to play a game, I have to build it first?
Seems kind of annoying…
I think that if I want to play a game on my iphone, I want to be able to quickly take it out, and more importantly quickly put it away. If I have to pull it apart and put it all in my pocket, it seems like it would take a few seconds longer than it should.
You may say its a pretty stupid argument, but I’d rather have it a bit bigger, and cramped, to have it all in one piece.
That’ the top half of an email I got recently from youtube, It’s asking if I want to join their parnership program, which gives me money by putting ads on my video.
It sounds good but I’m not sure whether I should go for it.
The problem is that they have various terms and conditions, most notably age and copyright.
The age requirement being 18 is pretty obvious.
I’m still 17 until April, this is even shown on my Youtube account, so this makes me wonder why they didn’t put in a filter on underage accounts to prevent revenue sharing. Perhaps they assume I’m lying about my age? Or maybe they want my parents to have revenue sharing?
I don’t know.
The other problem is copyright. They invited me to use revenue sharing on the “This is Dennal Plan” video, which I am definitely not going to do. They say that they check all videos before revenue sharing is allowed, and if it breaches copyright it will be removed. I do not want my video removed, which it almost certainly would be as I own nothing from the video.
So my only chance for it is the Half Life: Full Life Consequences video.
It is cinematic and not just a mashup of other videos, so it would be the least likely to infringe copyright, however it uses music which may be copyrighted, and I’m not sure if I’m allowed to profit from using game footage of the Source engine, oh and the clip of the Nostalgia Critic.
So what should I do? Should I go for it? Wait until I’m 18? Ignore it because of copyright? It’s Pikachu?
GODDAMMNIT!!!!AGGGGHHH!!!!
